“Have been eating here for years every Saturday. Great big portions of tasty fat chips, lovely crispy chicken, and tasty cod. If we want chips we go to Yan’s”
“My Mother came over from China and wanted a traditonal British Fish and Chips. Called in Yans after visiting Roath Park. Had the most wonderful fish, chips and mushy peas with a slice of lemon. She cant wait to visit again”
“We used to live on Whitchurch road and Yan’s was our local “chippy”. Since we moved away, we’ve tried several others but none have matched the quality. The batter is crispy and the chips are perfect! We always have a friendly welcome and the service is excellent. Parking is usually easy on the street outside.”
“I must be honest this is the best chippy in Cardiff, always really friendly and helpful and you wont find better chips in Cardiff, its spotlessly clean. The owner Steve is always laughing and joking its a pleasure to call here and as I say the food is excellent, and of the highest quality”
“A great family run Fish Bar, not run by staff or management. The owner Steve is one of a kind, Passionate and Eager to please. The food I had on Friday (Fish and Chips) is the best I have ever tasted. I am a regular there and would like to compliment his Homemade Rissoles, Thai Fish Cakes and Cod and Salmon Fishcakes as well as his Curry and Gravy. As being told by Steve he is one of a handful of shops in Wales to win the quality award, as well as winning the Best Chippy Chips Award 2014”
“We sometimes get fish and chips on our way home here as it is our local. The chips are always cooked nicely. Fish always tastes fresh, and they always offer you lemon on your fish, which is a nice touch. The service here is always very friendly and prompt.”
